The align attribute is used to indicate how the other parts of a page should flow around an image. Aligning items to the left allows text to flow around the right hand side while aligning them to the right does the opposite. Words will flow around the image when it is used with align.
Choosing the wrong image format for your website can cause the image to not look as good. Images should be saved as the same width and height they have on the website. Always measure width and height in pixels.
The normal flow allows each item to appear lower down the page than the previous one. Relative positioning move elements to the top right or bottom left not effecting the surrounding elements. Floating elements let you take elements out of the normal flow and position them to the far left or right of the containing box.
